Sabine Meyer, Clarinetist
Sabine Meyer played solo clarinet with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra before going on to pursue her own career as a soloist. As an intensive practitioner of chamber music, she founded the Bläserensemble Sabine Meyer (wind instrument ensemble.)
In 1983, Sabine Meyer founded the Trio di Clarone. She also plays solo clarinet with the new Lucerne Festival Orchestra, re-founded by Claudio Abbado in 2003, which comes together for international music festivals in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Her notable performances include Mozart’s quintet in A major, known as the “Stadler” quintet, with the Hagen Quartet.
Sabine Meyer developed the S800 model in collaboration with Steuer. She has been a loyal artist to the brand for over 20 years. You can hear her play some amazing music below.
